Off-White’s Unveils New Multi-medium Collaboration with Post Archival Faction

Off-White™ and Post Archival Fashion collaborate on clothes, furniture, and more.

Off-White™ has unveiled a new Off-White™ EQUIPMENT™ collection in collaboration with Post Archival Faction with additions from Victorinox and Helinox. The collaboration sees the brands create garments, accessories, and furniture while introducing new craftsmanship, reconsidered functionality, radical silhouettes, and unexpected details for a new Off-White™ era and an era of uncertain times.

The partnership between the luxury brand and the Korean collective began in 2020 when Abloh asked Post Archive Faction to imagine a performance wear collection at the intersection of design and utility made to navigate “our terrain today.”

The Korean collective’s bold response proposed the creation of multidimensional safe zones for human survival, spanning garments, tools, and spaces. Over the ensuing two years, Off-White™ and Post Archive Faction realized their shared vision in collaboration with the iconic Swiss Army Knife manufacturer Victorinox and Helinox, the cutting-edge Korean creator of next-generation portable furniture.

The resulting collection comprises 12 functional and conceptual designs that explore the meaning and survival of humanity in our contemporary landscape. Inspired by human evolution — from the birth of Western History through the Renaissance to the beginnings of Modernism to current-day Postmodernism — it reinterprets symbolic motifs and evolutionary designs, including Adam and Eve’s proverbial fig leaf: The archetypical foliage that evokes memories of our origins while its innovative adaptations underscore the role of creativity in human survival.

Black and white fig leaves adorn the collection’s furniture: a chair and table, both designed in collaboration with Helinox as well as the bomber jacket, hoodie, pants, long-sleeve tee, bucket hat, and backpack. Blanketing the collection as a whole.

The pocket knife, in collaboration with Victorinox, furthers this historical exploration, combining references to primitive stone axes with the evolved functionalities of the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. Which you can see in the shape of the blades and the designs on the casing of the pocket tool.

As a whole, the collaboration between the four brands marks an unconventional artistic endeavor for them all while providing the public a new way to interpret our place in history and our furniture, clothing, and tools place in it as well.
