OMEGA Celebrates the Tokyo Olympic Games with an Updated Take on the Seamaster Diver 300M
As the countdown to the Games begin, the Official Timekeeper starts keeping time too
The Tokyo Olympic Games may be coming later than planned, but OMEGA is making the right moves at the right time. The luxury watchmaker has unveiled a special piece in honor of 100 days to the Games to commemorate their association with the Olympics: The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020.
An iteration of a favorite design for OMEGA, the 42mm case on the Seamaster is made of stainless steel, as is the polished-brushed bracelet integrated with the case. It is mounted by a blue ceramic bezel ring with a white enamel diving scale. The white ceramic dial features laser-engraved waves and the Seamaster name in bright red, to contrast with the blue.
The color scheme for the piece was inspired by the colors of the Tokyo 2020 emblem, thereby prominently displaying the blue and the white. The watch also features a date window at 6 o’clock and the dials filled with white Super-LumiNova (which provides the luminescence in the dark). Each piece comes in a special Olympic Games presentation box, a Master Chronometer card, and a full 5-year warranty.
For the 29th time since 1932, OMEGA watches is fulfilling its role as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The next time you tune into a video of your favorite athlete competing in an Olympic event, be sure to note the OMEGA name next to the timer. You can find the watch on OMEGA’s website.
