Omega Launches the New Chrono Chime

OMEGA is introducing a new premium watch inspired by the exceptional skills of swiss watchmakers.

OMEGA, the Swiss luxury watch and jewelry brand, is unveiling a new wristwatch called the Olympic 1932 Chrono Chime. The watch is being toted as a ringing tribute to the exceptional skills of the Swiss brand’s watchmakers and the 1932 Olympic games that made OMEGA the official timekeeper for the international games.

This striking new numbered edition links the world’s first minute repeater wristwatch, produced by OMEGA in 1892, to the pocket chronographs used to time the Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Games and elevates their historically influential designs to new modern heights.

Many great designs emerged in the transition period between the pocket and wristwatch, and the look of the watch draws its cues from that inventive era. The movement, however, is the first of its kind. A cutting-edge calibre destined to make its own mark on watchmaking history.

When making this watch, it was not possible to modify existing components, so OMEGA’s watchmakers were required and compelled to create the wat h from scratch and by hand. Together they made OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 1932 a fully integrated chronograph and minute repeater.

Of course, creating a high-caliber watch from scratch required multiple innovations. Proof of the Chrono Chime’s complexity can be seen and counted. OMEGA’s invention required up to 17 patents related to the function of the Calibre 1932, its antimagnetic technology, and the watch’s external parts.

In addition to being a new technological invention, it is a thing of beauty. Satin-brushed and
mirror polished. A luxurious handmade watch with 46.44 grams of gold. Perfectly elevating any outfit it is paired with.

In addition, there is the beautiful engraving on the case back that are the words Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games, Co-Axial Master Chronometer, and the watch’s number. Plus, the brown leather strap with 18K Sedna Gold buckle includes OMEGA’s new Quick-Change patented system, which is something that can be very practical for wearers.

So, will you be grabbing their new state-of-the-art watch?
