Spotted on Valentino’s F/W 202o runway show, the house of Valentino announces a limited-edition sneaker collaboration with Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger. The Japanese fashion label founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949 shares similarities with the Italian Maison through their commitments to detail and craftsmanship. For Valentino’s Autumn-Winter 2020 Paris Menswear Collection, models were seen walking down the runway donning the classic Mexico 66 SD sneaker with an elevated twist, courtesy of creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Revamped to the codes of the Maison, the sneaker features the iconic Valentino ‘V’ logo on the outer side of the shoe and highlights the use of color, an element that the house of Valentino has been well known. Launching in this Summer 2020, the sneakers come in a range of 4 different colorways, from a vibrant fuschia to a fluorescent neon yellow. Each sneaker is truly one of a kind, thanks in part to each V logo being hand printed one by one. The Valentino Mexico 66 model features a cushioned midsole with a mega durable slip-resistant outer sole.

All four of these showstopping models will be available in select Valentino stores globally and Valentino.com. In celebration of this unique collaboration, Onitsuka Tiger will have an exclusive colorway, in the brand’s signature ‘tricolor’, available at select stores and online.
