Paul Smith’s Fall 2018 Menswear collection delivers a dimmed spectrum of monochromatic hues, scottish plaid accents and a plethora of elevated coats and jackets, making next fall look tonally ripe. Smith, a committedly consistent designer, successfully abides by his own laws of tailoring, but this time confidently turns his helm towards a younger audience with this new collection.

From the very top of the presentation, Smith sends simple but impeccably seamed garments in darker tones like emerald and navy and beautifully deep maroons and burgundies. Heightening the rules of men’s street style, each concept behind these logically styled ensembles make Smith’s scheme doable for many occasions muting any previous notions of singular classification for these looks. A pop of contrast from the rest of the collection takes the stage as bright turquoise and blue summons a bit brighter of a runway, but remaining just as tailored and shapely as the rest; standouts belonging to the leather jackets and pants and the abstract cartoon-esque sweaters.

Paul Smith has a knack for handsomely, sleek menswear that isn’t exclusively subjected to the label masculine. He produces insanely flattering flair within the realms of his creative vision making him a staple in the industry. Is any man’s closet wardrobe complete without a Paul Smith topcoat? We think not.
