‘Pose’ Actor Jeremy McClain’s Debut Single “Partly Cloudy”
The model, actor, activist, and now artist makes his first wave in music with his new track and video.
Those who watch the Emmy nominated, Ryan Murphy-helmed FX series Pose know and adore Jeremy McClain as Cubby on the show, while some may have noticed the multi-hyphenate modeling in magazines around the world. But as Friday sees the release of McClain’s debut single “Partly Cloudy”, the actor, model, and activist can now add “artist” to his already extensive job title.
“Partly Cloudy” touches upon mental health issues like anxiety and depression as a way to empower those affected, encouraging people to take control of their mental health. Ultimately, the track follows a journey of getting to the place where you can take control of your mental health, highlighting self-love, inner strength, and searching for the brighter sides of life. As an LGBTQ+ advocate and activist who strives to use his platform to embolden the community, McClain’s debut single has the power to do just that.
Listen to “Partly Cloudy” here—which was produced in collaboration with Rush Davis (Kelly Rowland, Dawn Richard), Kingdom (Kelela, Tinashe), Nick Breton (SZA, Solange), Aidan Carroll, and NoMBe—and watch the video down below, directed by Nadia Bedzhanova, who’s cinematic vision has been previously met with the likes of Chanel and Thom Browne.
