Since Prada established Rong Zhai, a "cultural institution" in Shanghai, in 2017, the brand has continued to develop relations and roots in the country. This year, on the 6th of June, Prada will be holding the Spring/Summer 2020 Menswear show during Milan Fashion Week.

“China has always occupied a prominent place in Prada's imagination: in particular, the city of Shanghai and its rich cultural life. The attitude and identity of Shanghai, its dynamic fusions of past and present, old and new, are sources of constant exchange and interest,” said Miuccia Prada in a statement.

The shows will align with the 40th anniversary of the two cities joining together for Fashion Week. It will also celebrate the relationship between two countries that vary culturally but evoke a similar sense of inspiration for the house. The brand doubly will host a presentation of the collection in Milan in the following weeks as well as a live performance event.
