Irish Indie-rock band The Academic have released a new music video for their latest track “Aftertaste.” The video comes after the song was released as a single in early September, and was directed by Eno Enofiok and filmed in London, was shot using pixelation animation. In other words, every image of the video was shot frame by frame, and the result is an energetic video that captures the emotions of nervousness and wonder associated with first dates.

On the video, the band had a few words: “We worked with Eno Enofiok in London and discussed the idea of a video being shot as a pixelation animation with live actors. The narrative is about young love and the sense of euphoria associated with it. The video’s story and quick burst of shots complement the track’s high energy.”
