Fans of the “Home Alone” franchise rejoice — Ryan Reynolds is officially set to produce a stoner version of the popular 1990 movie starring Macaulay Culkin that unequivocally shaped childhoods everywhere.

According to an exclusive Deadline report, the movie will follow a similar plot-line to that of the original, but with a slightly hazier twist. The film will be centered upon a 20-something year old pothead who misses his flight for a holiday vacation. Instead of choosing to catching a later flight or reschedule, he decides to instead stay home and toke up for a few days — but his dream stoner vacation is cut short by a group of thieves who break into his house. Cue the swinging paint buckets and red-hot door handles, he has no choice but to protect himself and his home.

With the latest announcement of the film’s green light, rumors have been flying as to whether or not Macaulay Culkin may reprise his signature role as Kevin McCallister. While details regarding casting is still highly under wraps, a kid can dream, right?
