Siegelman Stable Teams Up With Johnnie Walker, Tequila Don Julio For Blue42 Capsule

Celebrate the spirit of the sport in style with a vintage-inspired capsule from the luxury streetwear cult-favorite brand.

It’s almost time for Super Bowl LVII, and Siegelman Stable has just the thing to get you ready for gameday: a new capsule collection. This time, it’s all about honoring the spirit of the sport—literally. The luxury streetwear brand has teamed up with Johnnie Walker and Tequila Don Julio to create Blue42, a limited-edition 3-piece collection that will have you tailgating in style. Blue42 isn’t just a nod to the signature quarterback call—it’s also a reference to Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Tequila Don Julio 1942, the spirits many will be using to celebrate their team’s triumph on Sunday.

This isn’t the first time fashion and alcohol have mixed—see Absolut x almost every famous designer, or Chanel’s four wineries—but Siegelman Stable takes its collaboration to the next level by incorporating the Johnnie Walker label and vintage spirit advertisements into the collection’s designs.

Of course, these inspirations are framed within the brand’s signature horse iconography. The collection’s apparel item, a long-sleeve cotton shirt, bears the Blue42 name in the classic Blue Label script on the front above a small, hand-stitched label. The back features a retro-style design of a horse stepping away from a glorious Wild West sunset, its surroundings deserted save for a cactus and bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Tequila Don Julio 1942. Both sides of the shirt have a quintessential slogan printed on them that reads “Good Spirit…Good Sport.”

The minimalist colorway and throwback graphics mark this as one of Siegelman Stable’s most unique collections yet. Past partnerships have opted for monochromatic shades like black and white paired with a bold accent color—red or yellow, for example—and the familiar Siegelman Stable horse logo. This collection tones things down color-wise, using khaki as the core color and navy blue for accents. The font change is another refreshing element, playing to the rustic, western vibe of the collection as a whole.

Of course, the classic Siegelman Stable horse design doesn’t fail to make an appearance. It’s artfully stitched onto the collection’s other two pieces: the often-sold-out Siegelman Stable snapback caps. The khaki hats have blue and gold stitching to represent the two spirit brands. On the sides of each cap are the Blue42 logo and 1982, the year that horse trainer Robert Siegelman founded the stable from which the brand takes its name. As usual, the brand honors the stable’s mission of expanding access to equine therapy by pledging a portion of the collection’s proceeds to an equine therapy program in the home city of the team that wins at Sunday’s game.

To celebrate the collection’s launch, Johnnie Walker and Tequila Don Julio will be throwing an exclusive pre-game party in Phoenix, Arizona. Attendees will be treated to drinks, live music, and even an opportunity to score the new merch ahead of gameday. For the rest of us, the Blue42 x Siegelman Stable collection will be available Friday, February 3 at 1 pm ET on the brand’s official website.
