Soho Celebrates Oculus Go by Facebook

For those of you living under a rock, virtual reality just became a whole lot more accessible with Facebook’s new cordless Oculus Go headset.

For those of you living under a rock, virtual reality just became a whole lot more accessible with Facebook’s new cordless Oculus Go headset.

Oculus hosted a VIP launch event for their newly released $199 consumer VR headset, Oculus Go. The dreamlike designed pop-up space, open to the public for one day, was a scene full of flailing arms, laughter, and awe.

Guests were given the opportunity to experience the Oculus Go while Grown-ish star Francia Raisa and NBA 2018 Rookie of the Year Candidate Donovan Mitchell mingled with the crowd. Headsets featured a range of immersive VR content like Jurassic Park, which allows the viewer for the first time to see what it feels like to be in the presence and close proximity of a Velociraptor, and Coaster Combat, a part roller coaster, part action game where you rack up scores by hitting treasure targets with a range of differently themed weapons (our personal favorite).
