A few weeks back, we sat down with EDM legend Steve Aoki  to talk about his forthcoming album Kolony. Today, Kolony is finally upon us.The ten-track release is comprised of party-cranking anthems and a large array of rap heavy collaborations. Aoiki strays away from the typical EDM template and instead blurs the lines between house and hip hop, creating a unique mixture of the differing genres. Kolony, which according to Aoki " kind of started in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert," taps some of the industry's biggest names including Gucci Mane, Migos, and Lil Yachty. As rap has become increasingly mainstream, Aoki, who "was already doing my thing in the electronic space before EDM even existed as a term" was able to successfully craft songs for people across all genres to enjoy and integrate them into mainstream radio.

The trajectory of the album itself only looks upward, not to mention Steve's unrivalled career in music. Make sure to check out Aoki's new masterpiece below, as well as our full feature on  Kolony and Steve's career.
