TAKEON is Focused On Women In Charge This Season

The streetwear brand launches their Fall/Winter 2020 collection for all.

New York-based streetwear brand TAKEON has created a female-focused collection— but for men too— for their Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Titled ‘WE ARE HERE,’ the collection will highlight the values that women contribute to society while also exploring intersections between femininity and masculinity.

In the past, the brand has often focused on forward-facing techniques and environmentally conscious manufacturing while carefully staying true to their mission. Together, TAKEON founders Chelsea Ma and Jessica Zhao have bridged gaps between Asian and American street culture while also pursuing quality, integrity, and originality for people of all people in the new world of fashion.

‘WE ARE HERE’ aims to “expand into the world of modern tailoring [by] incorporating functional and modular designs” in their clothing. Using hand-drawn graphics and bold colors, the designer duo creates a variety of utility statement suits and essential wear. The suits are the backbone to the “woman in charge” aesthetic that defines the core of the brand.

The collection includes elevated 3 piece suits which are available in red, soft grey, black and blue. It includes details such as hidden pockets and yellow pull strings to increase or decrease the fitting.

Also in the collection are tie-dye hoodies and cropped t-shirts that are sure to match any kind of silhouette. A puffer jacket comes in multiple surface textures with the TAKEON logo on the upper left chest.

You can shop TAKEON’s FW20 collection at Extra Butter as well as online.
