For his debut at New York Fashion Week: Men's, Teddy Ondo Ella merged the vibrancy of New York City with the culture of Gabon in a collection entitled "Heritage." To represent his African home country, Ella utilized images of Gabonese beer labels and village homes to create vibrant prints on silk shirts and tailored silhouettes, emblematic of New York style. Accessories included beaded necklaces, berets, and skinny scarfs, which were tied around models' foreheads. Ella's use of color was memorable, as was the show's opening acrobatic performances and traditional Gabonese dances.
