The Celebration that is Loewe’s Ready-To-Wear Fall-Winter 2022 Collection

The Spanish Maison is back with an exquisite collection! Loewe captures once again the modernity and creativity through his elaborated artistic garments. Northern Irish designer, Jonathan Anderson, unveils his new playful collection.

The Universe of Loewe, originally transcribed by young organic patterns, vivid designs and its luxurious discreet elegance, presented his strong visual identity in this new collection.

Authentic, bright, and soft, Loewe collection started in an immersive colorful striped and fringed décor, diving us into a natural and festive environment.

Artists Joe McShea and Edgar Mosa installed eighty-seven living flags as the scenery of the fashion show to create an interactive movement after each passage of the models.

“The flags are stripped of meaning, acting as a call to reflection. They are made of thirteen colors chosen to represent the full visible spectrum, arranged randomly so as to make each flag unique.”

Models walked in white sand on the rhythm of a repetitive music between nature-based sounds as heartbeats and birds whistle and a male voice sharing his journey.

The eclectic collection of Loewe can be summed up as a hippy chic spirit, combining contradictory textures and opposed styles.

Short-sleeved turtleneck, wide pocket shorts, thin belts with large inlaid letters, and dark color coats with bright interiors were presented in this collection.

Voluminous and wispy layers were superimposed in some outfits, revealing a body through transparent jumpsuit. With nets or cut-outs, Loewe’s outfits reveal a gender fluid or unisex collection. “Why do I make clothing? What does gender mean? Or why am I drawn to showing [gender] neutrality within menswear?” Anderson’s questioned before the release of the collection.

To be consistent with his unconventional bias, Jonathan Anderson’s vision on the masculinity has been made relevant and clear in this collection.

Inlaid or printed, sink traps have been gathered in a few accessories and clothes to question objects that intrigues us.

“There’s nothing better than when you see a look that transforms your mind.”
