Excited about your upcoming snowboarding or skiing trip? Regardless of whether you’re new to skiing or a skiing novice, you still might be wondering what to wear. To help you conquer the slopes, we lay out the basics that’ll keep you warm, but without cramping your style. 

Moncler Bernex Short Down Jacket

Moncler’s down jacket will help you repel the snow while keeping you warm. It features a extractable hood and detachable sleeves, meaning you can also wear it as a vest. 

Patagonia Snowshot Jacket

For a more affordable option, consider this one by Patagonia that comes in four different colors. It is also waterproof and windproof and made from recycled materials. The jacket also has an inner mesh liner that offers additional mobility when moving. 

Rowing Blazers X FILA Ski Jacket

Rowing Blazers also released a ski jacket with FILA. Based on a ski jacket from FILA’s 90s archive, the jacket has an interior pocket and is finished with zig-zag sleeve trims.

Aside from ski or snowboard outwear, long underwear might be the most important piece of clothing to pack for your next winter vacation. This one by REI wicks sweat off your skin to keep you warm. Smartwool Merino 250 Base Layer Bottoms

Made from merino wool, this pair of pants enhances comfort, breathability and thermoregulation. It is complete with an elasticized waistband that lays flat on the waist. Additionally, you can wear it off the slopes, when you’re just lounging at the cabin or hotel. 

Bogner Joacin First Layer

Bogner also offers an inner layer that is made from soft jersey fabric. With the elastane blend, it is moisture-regulating and breathable, according to the brand. It features a color-block design that makes it a striking classic.

Uniquely, these gloves have a removable liner that provides two-in-one versatility, meaning you can use it in different elements. It also has synthetic leather covering the tips of the fingers to give you touchscreen control with any finger. 

North Face Montana FUTURELIGHT Etip Glove

These alpine gloves are made with recycled polyester. They are water-resistant and breathable. There is a wrist-cinch that keeps in the heat and an Etip that works with touchscreen devices. 

Smartwool Performance Snow Full Cushion Iguchi Pattern OTC Socks

Bryan Iguchi designed this pair of socks for Smartwool. It has a mountain pattern on the side of the socks and is made from merino wool. Not to mention, it has body-mapped mesh zones that add breathability during your ride. 

GOREWEAR M GORE WINDSTOPPER Balaclava

To keep your neck and face warm, consider getting a balaclava. This one by GORE is totally windproof and breathable. It includes stretch inserts that offer optimum freedom of movement.

Oakley O-Frame 2.0 PRO XL Snow Goggles

These goggles provide 100% protection against UVA/UVB/UVC and are coated with F3 Anti-fog coating. Unlike other goggles, it has discreet frame notches at the templates that are compatibility with most prescription eyewear.
