When great icons collide, great music is made; that much, at least, is proven with “One Right Now,” the new single from The Weeknd and Post Malone.

As the first taste of Post Malone’s forthcoming fourth studio album—as well as the first major collab by the two artists repped by Republic Records—, “One Right Now” is a smooth mix of the talents of each artist, combining their flawless vocals with a catchy track.

A break-up anthem turned to the max volume, “One Right Now” finds a new sound for The Weeknd and Post Malone, veering into an enigmatic, synth bass.

Rumored to be featured on Post Malone’s next album, the single reminds us of the raw talent of both artists, using an intense tale of infidelity in the lyrics—”You say you love be but I don’t care—to capture a new sound for the platinum stars.

While Post Malone’s upcoming album doesn’t have an official release date yet, his press team promises it is “coming soon.” The Weeknd, meanwhile, has been teasing his follow-up album to After Hours, remarking at the Billboard Music Awards that “the dawn is coming.”

Whatever that means for each artist, if “One Right Now” is any indicator, a new age is on the horizon, and it’s promising as ever.
