Timothee Chalamet will Co-Host the Met Gala this September

Alongside stars like: Billie Eilish, poet Amanda Gorman, Naomi Osaka, and of course Anna Wintour

Last year was one of the very few times the Met Gala did not take place, but this year’s event will surely make up for that. Co-hosts include Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, poet Amanda Gorman, Naomi Osaka, and of course Anna Wintour. They might be young, but these hosts have been ahead of the game in terms of fashion and will show out at the Met Gala.

The theme of this year’s Met Gala will be “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” and will take place on September 18 instead of the usual winter and spring dates. The event also debuts the exhibition at the Met that will take a look into American ingenuity from ‘70s glam to political pieces.

This is the first time Chalamet will be attending the iconic event after years of being a fashion figure. Chalamet has been in films such as Interstellar and Miss Stevens but gained popularity after his performance as Elio Perlman in Call Me By Your Name in 2017. He was nominated for best actor at the Oscars in 2018 and became a style icon hitting every red carpet with new and unexpected looks.

Chalamet recently posted on his Instagram a photo of the Met Museum along with pictures of his fellow co-chairs.
