Rumor has it the end of Timothée Chalamet’s acting hiatus is closer than we thought, and fans are already fiending for another powerful rendition of the Hollywood superstar. There are talks of the talented actor portraying Bob Dylan in an upcoming biopic film, reportedly titled Going Electric, that showcases the musical powerhouse’s transition from Greenwich Village folk singer to big-time rock star through the lens of an electric guitar.

The film is set to be directed by James Mangold, who’s previously dedicated his directing passions to the life of Johnny Cash with the 2005 drama Walk the Line. Paying well-deserved respect to one of rock-and-roll’s biggest icons with this upcoming film, it’s only right that Mangold enlists one of Hollywood’s best to depict the life of the guitar hero. Reports have also confirmed that Dylan is tied to the project, so Chalamet will presumably be able to get into character with ease.

Chalamet is joining a group of actors who’ve also had the honor of playing Dylan, including Cate Blanchette, Christian Bale, and Richard Gere. Cementing his place in Hollywood’s Hall of Fame, the 24-year-old actor’s career continues to evolve in ways entirely beyond his years. As the VMAN39 cover star makes his grand return to set, it’s evident that his passion for his craft is still very much alive and well. Lights, camera, action!
