Activewear has officially left the gym. Over the past two years, performance clothing has gone from being an energetic styling element in editorials to an everyday must, for everyone from young artists to hip hop musicians to Uptown moms and the cool girls that make up the Alexander Wang demographic. At yesterday's Calvin Klein White Label presentation at the brand's midtown showroom space, the message was clear: it's everywhere.

"Performance isn't new for us," creative director Kevin Carrigan said. "We've been doing it for many seasons." It took center stage at the pop-up installation that included Calvin Klein Home elements and fixtures, including potted plants, standalone windows, and gym benches. Campaign face Clark Bockelman splayed himself in the center of it all, clad in a pair of black Calvin briefs, his legs dangling into a rectangular pool of water.

With laser cut mesh dresses for women, breathable bomber jackets for guys, and slouchy trousers and cool sneakers and slide sandals for both sexes, the collection exudes a laid-back, California energy that perfectly complements the loungewear impulse pervading fashion right now.
