TOMORROW x TOGETHER’s YEONJUN Releases His Second Solo Album

“NO LABELS: PART 02” is YEONJUN’s newest creation and he is so very proud of it
YEONJUN from TOMORROW x TOGETHER is releasing his second, solo album “NO LABELS: PART 02” on July 10.
YEONJUN’s debut solo-album, NO LABELS: PART 01, which charted the Billboard’s Top Album Sales at No. 1 and the Billboard 200 at No. 10. Soon after it was released last fall, gave listeners a unique insight to show a side of him fans hadn’t been familiar with before.

Despite this new look into YEONJUN, fans sometimes inadvertently label him incorrectly. Fans often joke about his face “that wouldn’t pass a family meeting.” This slang in South Korea is frequently used to describe someone whose sharp, even intense features make them look like they wouldn’t easily win over a partner’s parents.
“Honestly, it was an unexpected nickname because I am actually quite shy and soft-natured on the inside,” YEONJUN said. But I like it anyway because it shows a different, unexpected side of me.”
In his song, “Long Way Long Ride,” the last track of his album, YEONJUN wrote the lyrics himself. “This song goes beyond the image people usually see and talks about my insecurities and the moments I needed comfort,” YEONJUN said. “I even included my own name in one of the lyrics, ‘You still shine JUN, the sun will rise again,’ so it really captures a very honest side of me.”
In the year that he worked on “NO LABELS: PART 02”, YEONJUN has had the chance to be more at ease compared to when he worked on his first solo album. As YEONJUN tells it, “I think I was able to let go of some of the pressure and just enjoy the process more this time.”

Seeing how TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s beloved fandom, Moments of Alwaysness, reacted to PART 01, the small moments and expressions were what stayed with YEONJUN. Talking openly with different people with deep, unfiltered conversations, and hearing their thoughts and stories were a tremendous inspiration to him and were the fresh perspective he needed.
As the first K-pop act to achieve eight Top 5 entries and a total of 13 career entries on the Billboard 200, YEONJUN has come a long way since his time dreaming of singing as a child.

“I’ve always longed to be an artist ever since I was young,” YEONJUN said. “So I think my 15-year-old self would be proud and say ‘Wow, you have not only one solo album, but two?’ I’d want to thank him for holding on through everything.”
