Travis Scott, Naomi Campbell, and More star in ‘Issue 02’ of Bottega Veneta’s Zine
The second issue of the quarterly journal taps into ‘80s-inspired aesthetics.
Remember when Bottega Veneta decided to kick off 2021 by departing from social media? A few months later, the label debuted “Issued,” a quarterly digital journal to highlight creatives and new designs – which now has a second issue out. For “Issue 02,” the label tapped an extensive list of talents, including Travis Scott, Naomi Campbell, Tyrone Lebon, David LaChapelle, and Arca.
This time, the multimedia experience took inspiration from retro aesthetics, featuring glitchy VHS-like title cards and transitions, and bold ‘80s-inspired illustrations. Quirky sections include a golden version of the Puddle boot being turned to dust and ASMR-like videos.
Viewers can also “follow” models in different settings and even experience what the view from under the catwalk looks like (in case you’ve been wondering). Of course, the journal highlights some of Bottega Veneta’s signature designs, including the Mount Bag and The Point, and new accessories, such as the beige acetate cat-eye sunglasses.
Many of the visuals also highlight the label’s signature “Bottega” green, along with other accessories inspired by the label, such as windshield protective covers. Surreal illustrations and spring-like motifs are also featured.
