Tremaine Emory named New Creative Director of Supreme

The man who brings culture, African American history and creativity under the spotlight has been named by the streetwear giant Supreme, their new Creative Director.

Tremaine Emory, one of the leading figures of the fashion industry who did collaborations with New Balance, Champion or Levi’s, worked closely with Virgil Abloh, Tom Sachs and musicians Frank Ocean and Kanye West, will intimately work with James Jebbia, founder of Supreme, as he has just been named their Creative Director.

Founder of the independent label Denim Tears and No Vacancy Inn, Tremaine Emory has known a meteoric rise as a creative designer and iconic entrepreneur.

Unique and timeless, he intends to offer his artistic touch and style to the Supreme label for future collections, more assertive than ever.

Multi-skilled and wearing many hats, no need to specify that Emory will still head-up Denim Tears. Inspiring for many, his creative outlets expanded from fashion merchandise, radio podcast or music, enabling him to raise his voice and being the involved designer he is, supporting movements and associations like Every Mother Counts.

Rewriting the rules of high fashion to lifestyle, Emory wants to give a “cultural vein” to educate the shoppers about Afro-American cultures and histories and the importance of supporting movements like Black Lives Matter movements.

Just starting his new chapter, Emory already “officially started this week, marking the first major appointment since the streetwear label was acquired by VF Corp for $2.1 billion in 2020”.
