Continuing their tradition of partnering with musicians (like 2008's Julian Casablancas, Pharrell Williams, and Santogold supergroup song) Converse has paired with Tyler, the Creator and his fashion line Golf to create a new selection of their iconic One Star shoe.

The suede shoes have Golf's pastel proclivities as well as the words "DON'T LET EM KILL YOUR FLOWERS, WATER YOUR GARDEN AND STUNT" faintly printed along the sole, with a little embroidered bee on the heel. While the imagery is lighthearted and fun, the teaser was anything but: part parody of Lil Wayne's viral 2012 deposition video, the short film shows Tyler under questioning about his "relationship with Converse," before cutting to images of him and his friends lighting the shoes on fire, smashing cars and riding dirt bikes, destroying the shoes.

"Many, many One Stars were harmed in the making of this video," reads a disclaimer.

The collection is available August 3 on Converse's website. Watch the teaser film and peruse the final campaign images below.
