Valentino Finds a Home in Miami’s Rubell Museum for Its Collezione Milano

The maison’s Spring Summer 21 collection is on full display amidst a sea of green

Maison Valentino continues their art of expanding their brand and the idea of their collections. They have now entered into a collaboration with the Rubell Museum in Miami, using one of the museum spaces as a showcase for their Collezione Milano collection.

The Maison is continuing on as a supporter of the museum, known for their private collections and focus on contemporary art from a diverse variety of artists. Valentino’s Spring-Summer 21 collection, full of life and tropical beachy goodness, is given a home amidst the other experimental collections at Rubell, which has been operating since 1993.

Maison Valentino Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli infuses his Spring-Summer line with a deep blend of solids with patterns, basics with florals. The elements of summer and spring come together in the variety of colors on display, ranging from bright reds, yellows, and greens to subtle monochromes. Silhouettes range from the shortest of dresses and blazers to the flowiest robes, sweatshirts, and shirts. In other words, it’s the duality and dichotomy that’s the main star of the show.

The way the collection is housed only enhances it further. It is placed in a tropical, almost Garden of Eden-like setting, surrounded by greenery. It’s a distinct summer resort vibe that fits in with the museum’s Florida setting. The collection is available to view via private appointments over three days.
