Virgil Abloh x Baccarat Are Headed to Art Basel Miami
The collaboration is slated to open on December 3 at the 2019 Art Basel Miami.
Virgil Abloh must be one of the busiest men in the world. He is the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear, the chief executive officer of Off-White which he founded in 2013, and now he has partnered with Baccarat to produce an exhibit titled “Crystal Clear” c/o Baccarat” for Art Basel Miami.
Little information regarding the exhibition has been revealed besides that is it opening on December 3. However, an Instagram post shared by Abloh on Sunday alluded to a potential theme. The second slide of the post featured an outline of a chain-link sculpture formed out of Baccarat’s fine crystal.
Baccarat and Abloh have both teased the home collection through social media which will eventually be available for purchase at the Baccarat Boutique, BBar & Lounge in Miami. The Baccarat store is located within the Miami Design District.
But this is not the first time Abloh has created a collection for Art Basel Miami. In 2017, he debuted Twentythirtyfive which predicted home decor in the year 2035. He’s also played so many DJ sets that apparently at one point he lost count. Abloh is a seasoned participant of Art Basel Miami and has partnered with a legendary crystal retailer, their collaborative efforts will be sure to produce nothing short of extraordinary.
