VMAN and Chris Colls Interpret 2 Moncler 1952 Collection

Moncler Genius continues to explore new horizons and give voice to personal creativity.

Moncler Genius explores new horizons and gives a voice to the spirit of pioneering and personal creativity. Extending the brand’s facilitation of individuality into 2020, a team of designers were invited to give their unique take on Moncler and break boundaries as they delved beyond the world of fashion and into the world of experience.

With the new collection brought to life through the photography of Chris Colls, the luxury fashion brand known for its cutting-edge skiwear is here with 2 Moncler 1952—meant to be the intersection between technical and industrial, with the daring and imaginative vision Craig Green

Designer Sergio Zambon spearheads the venture by transforming the stories of real and imagined youth movements into a collection that merges the energy of 2020 with a funky, 70s pop feel, while the brand’s womenswear designer Veronica Leoni took the early-20th-century exoticism and interpreted it in a contemporary fashion. Every lifestyle, from the prep, to the hippie, to the punk, inspired garments in the collection; from crisp chino pants to the cozy parka, from the metropolitan black to the relaxed blanket-cape.

Rhinestoned glitz and glamor from Libertine is detailed on shirts and sleeveless jackets, while UNDEFEATED gives its black nylon basics a whole new punk twist. The collection’s accessories play with a variety of styles and decades: 70s flat sneakers, boots, Eighties pointy boots and fur hats, along with practical duvet-carriers.

The signature Moncler filter is interwoven throughout, in form and structure  — laquè nylon, heavy satin for outerwear and the down jacket in every version from upholstery corduroy to print — and blending in an all-inclusive kaleidoscopic mix created for the contemporary wearer.

The collection is conceived as a nuanced, complex collaboration with the entire city of Los Angeles. Through contributions from key LA-based creatives, Moncler hints at the city’s sun-kissed and carefree spirit. Shop the 2 Moncler 1952 collection here.
