Vroom Vroom: ACH130 Aston Martin Edition

British sports car manufacturer collaborates with Airbus on their first-ever helicopter.

British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has just revealed its latest automotive collaboration with Airbus Corporate Helicopters in Courchevel in the French Alps. Dubbed ACH130 Aston Martin Edition, the newest product is a designer, highly-limited collector’s piece dreamed up for those who own and enjoy high-performance, luxury Aston Martin cars.

The two companies have been working on ACH130 for over a year, drawing inspirations from Aston Martin’s DB11 and making sure all details and aesthetic elements are executed just right. The company has developed four trim levels for the helicopter, each featuring Aston Martin’s signature design tropes—for one, the wings that are positioned throughout the helicopter’s leather-lined cabin. The new machine is available in color schemes like “Stirling Green” with “Jet Black” and “Skyfall Silver” accents on the underside and around the cowlings. More external shades are available in signature paint colors like “Xenon Grey,” “Arizona” and “Ultramarine Black.” The standard model comes with the signature black ultra-suede interior, but customers can choose to add on leathers from Aston Martin automotive lineage—coming in “Oxford Tan,” “Pure Black,” “Cormorant” and “Ivory” shades.

The interior is finished off with the DB11-inspired brogue detailing running down the center of the seats, with a plaque on the instrument panel that details the dual logos, edition number and owner’s name (upon request). Those interested will be able to order ACH130 through Airbus Corporate Helicopters in the first quarter of 2020.
