Vroom Vroom: MANHART Unveils Upgrade to BMW’s M8 Competition

The increased performance and visuals make the MH8 800 BMW’s most impressive vehicle.

MANHART just introduced the MH8 800, an upgraded version of BMW’s M8 Competition coupe/convertible, and it looks like a complete work of art. The Wuppertal based company, which dedicates itself to optimizing the performance and look of a variety of vehicles, has managed to take BMW’s most powerful M car a step further.

While the BMW M8 has 625 HP and 750 Nm of torque, MANHART upgraded the car’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 to 823 HP and 1,050 Nm of torque. The MH8 800 four-seater can also launch from 0-62 MPH in 2.6 seconds compared to the M8’s 3.2 seconds, an impressive number that manages to live out every car lover’s dream of seemingly endless acceleration.

The MH8 800 includes a variety of new features, including a stainless steel rear silencer with a remote valve that ends in four 100mm tailpipes and new race downpipes without catalytic converters. To sustain the increased power of the engine, MANHART has also updated the transmission by adding a new set of KW height-adjustable coil springs that adjust the vehicle’s height by 30 mm. Some more good news: the MANHART suspension set-up and the factory-standard carbon-ceramic system can be individually configured upon request.

In addition to the striking gold stripes that beautifully contrast the black exterior, the MH8 800 includes MANHART Concave One alloy wheels with a glossy black finish and gold detailing on the edge of the rims. A few more visual tweaks include a new rear spoiler lip and diffuser insert made from carbon fiber and a front spoiler lip and inserts on the front apron that add a more aggressive appeal to the standard M8 Competition.
