Watch Jack Harlow’s New Music Video with “Tyler Herro”

The “WHATS POPPIN” artist is back with a new single, this time featuring the league’s rising favorite Tyler Herro.

There has been a long history of rappers paying homage to NBA greats with eponymous singles. In 2009, Lil Wayne made an ode commending Kobe Bryant. Soulja Boy released a song about Warriors’ guard Stephen Curry. And now, Jack Harlow coronated rising NBA star Tyler Herro with his own ballad.

Coming off his smash single “WHATS POPPIN,” Jack Harlow drops a new single, “Tyler Herro.” Named after the Miami Heat guard who had quite the run this postseason, the song and accompanying music video cements Tyler Herro’s newfound popularity. Laced with instrumental produced by Boi-1da and Scott Storch, the flute-driven beats are catchy and charming.

“My homeboy Tyler, he play in South Beach/He told me this summer he gon’ fix my jumper/I told Boi-1da that we might got a thumper (Yeah, yeah, yeah)/I been tryna pop, now I’m on like Shumpert/Now they on my bumper,” Jack Harlow rhymes on the first verse, also name-dropping Brooklyn Nets Iman Shumpert.

Back in 2018, Herro was named MVP of the University of Kentucky’s Kentucky Wildcats when his team played against their rival the University of Lousiville’s Louisville Cardinals, whom Jack is a fan of. Since then, Herro has become one of the league’s up-and-coming players after creating a name for himself in the NBA playoffs. He made history when he broke the record for most three-pointers by a rookie in playoff history.
