Netflix announced a Shawn Mendes documentary recently, and the first official trailer for “In Wonder” is finally out.

“In Wonder” follows the Grammy-nominated, multi platinum Toronto-born singer/songwriter in his journey toward self-discovery: from the pressures and exhaustions of his rise to global pop stardom to his last world tour, barreling him towards a personal and musical reckoning.

The heartfelt documentary gives fans of Mendes a vulnerable, intimate side of him they’ve rarely witnessed before as he wrestles with the pressures of being a global icon and the emotional tolls of growing up under the world’s scrutinizing eye.

 A glimpse of the unprecedented view into Mendes’ world is shown in the trailer, framed around his rise and most recent tour with access to his home life, footage from his early years and access to his private life while traveling across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The feature-length documentary co-executive produced by Shawn Mendes and Andrew Gertler will be released on Netflix on November 23rd. The trailer drop tails the release of “Wonder,” the title track off Mendes’ highly anticipated forthcoming album dropping December 4th.
