Today, Years & Years have released the first official single from their upcoming album Palo Santo. The new track, "If You're Over Me", is a boppy exploration of heartbreak in the midst of lost love trying to find friendship. Frontman Olly Alexander says, “This is a song about trying to stay friends with an ex. Spoiler alert—it doesn't often work. In fact, in my experience, the relationship often ends up ruined. ‘If You're Over Me’ is about the emotional torture that ensues - meeting up and making out, then breaking up all over again, then making out some more.”

Following the release of "Sanctify", the electric first teaser from the new album, "If You're Over Me" delivers a further glimpse into what we can expect from this new era of Olly. Accompanying the album is a short film to be released narrated by Dame Judi Dench. The trailer offers an insane, otherworldly landscape making one thing very clear: this is going to be a powerhouse for the ever-rising musician. Check out the new Years & Years bop below!
