The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here.

Yeezy and Gap have announced the inaugural release for the 10-year YEEZY Gap partnership. The release was announced at 3 a.m. ET today in celebration of Kanye West’s 44th birthday. The project was first announced a year ago, but its premiere is not exactly what fans had in mind.

Instead of the expected full collection of “Yeezy style” matching hoodies, sweatpants, and tees, West decided to just drop a singular bright blue puffer named the “ROUND JACKET”.

In true Kanye West fashion, the item was given free publicity as paparazzi first spotted the puffer on West last week in LA. West had the same marketing strategy when his Adidas collab dropped and he had models wearing it all over LA. The public was teased with photos plastered all over the internet of West wearing the blue puffer with a full on adorned head mask with religious motifs.

The long-awaited item is made out of recycled nylon and the blue tone, which has influenced West’s recent fashion choices, has been inspired by his obsession with color study.

The puffer that is simply marked with Yeezy Gap logo on the interior, has a collar-lapel design and no closure. Priced at $200, the ROUND JACKET will be exclusively available in the United States for pre-order on Gap.com starting June 7 and shipping will start sometime in the fall.

There is still no official indication of when the full product line will start to make its way into Gap stores nationwide, despite the numerous rumors circulating in recent weeks that have made it seem like it’s only a matter of time for the full collection to drop.

YEEZY Gap will also be hosting “Floating Projections” of the YEEZY Gap ROUND JACKET to accompany the release starting with New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago, catch a full list of locations below.
