Your Questions About Tory Lanez’s New Album Answered

Tory Lanez has kept his upcoming album “The New Toronto 3” under wraps, so here’s everything you need to know about the allusive release.

Dropping on April 10th, after a March release tease, Tory Lanez’s The New Toronto 3 follows the Toronto artist’s November 2019 album Chixtape 5, which saw R&B and sample-heavy tracks. The New Toronto 3 is the third installment of Lanez’s rap-heavy The New Toronto series that began with a mixtape in 2015 and was joined by a second installment in 2017. For the third part of the series, Lanez attributed the lyrical world play and hard beats to a recent breakup.

Between getting over a girl that did him wrong and friends he feels like did him dirty, Lanez envisions his newest project as cold-hearted but motivational. “Sometimes you feel like you’ve got a dark cloud over your head and things aren’t going right for you, but if you put on this project then it’s gonna motivate you and make you feel like you’ve got to get up and do something,” Lanez told NME.

On March 30th, Lanez shared The New Toronto 3 album cover via Twitter:

As of now, the only confirmed feature on the album is Brooklyn’s Fivio Foreign, but it’s unclear if the recent singles Lanez has been releasing, like “W” and “Do The Most,” will make it onto the final cut of The New Toronto 3.
