Zodiac Relaunched Their Classic Olympos Watch

The classic timepiece from 1961 got some modern upgrades.

Zodiac Watches is relaunching their iconic Olympos timepiece, this time with more contemporary design influences.

Originally launched in 1961, the Zodiac Olympos was revolutionary and distinctive, with it’s thin profile and unique case. The manta ray shaped case earned it the nickname “manta,” a nickname that can still hold-up with today’s redesign.

Designed to stay true to its heritage roots, the updated Olympos watch sports a sapphire crystal and unique dial finishing, splitting the watch face into four distinct quadrants. The 37 mm case and 10mm profile allows the watch to tell time with precision, while retaining a sleek, simplified look that many more technical watches lack.

Highlights of the Olympos include its Swiss-made STP 1-11 automatic movement, and its classification as 5ATM, meaning it can withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters.

From a style lens, the redesigned Olympos comes in four colorways, including a brand-new ocean blue color, each with and Italian leather strap and a polished stainless steel buckle, designed to pay homage to the visionary watchmakers of the past.

Each Olympos timepiece retails for $895, and all colors are available now online.
