Joji Releases the Tracklist and Merch for Sophomore Album, Nectar
Diplo, Lil Yatchy, BENEE and more contributed to the new LP.
Following his Billboard No.1 debut record BALLADS 1, Joji is set to drop his second studio album, Nectar, on September 25th via 88Rising. The 18-song LP features a star-studded cast of creatives with collaborations from Diplo, Lil Yatchy, Yves Tumor, Omar Apollo, rei brown, and BENEE. Characterized by contemporary R&B blended with downtempo, pop, and nu-metal, this album navigates the in-between space where genres melt together.
Initially emerging into the public sphere as a comedic YouTube star with 13.1 million subscribers, Joji later transitioned into the music industry where he ignited a global music revolution one industry-shaking record at a time. In 2018, Joji became the first Asian-born artist to have his debut album reach number 1 on Billboard’s top R&B and hip-hop chart. Featuring hypnotic beats and intoxicating choruses, the critically-acclaimed debut album launched Joji into the stratosphere of genre-bending artists.
The album’s release was christened with “Daylight,” a mid-tempo summer anthem created with Diplo. This collaboration follows his singles “Gimme Love” and “Run,” which appear on this upcoming album.
