Justin Bieber: Our World Premieres in New York City at Hudson Yards
The documentary film covering Bieber’s New Year’s 2020 Beverly Hilton performance will be released on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 8.
Calling all Beliebers—Justin Bieber’s upcoming documentary titled Justin Bieber: Our World premiered in New York City at the Edge at Hudson Yards on Sept. 14. Several celebrity guests were in attendance, including Offset, Quavo, The Kid LAROI, Justine Skye, Evan Mock, Maeve Reilly, Julian Edelman, and Tyrell Hampton. Bieber also performed a few songs live at the event.
The 94-minute film, directed and produced by Michael D. Ratner, will be a behind-the-scenes look at the “Peaches” singer’s first live concert in three years, taking place during the last 30 days before his New Year’s Eve 2020 performance on the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton hotel. The coverage includes the process of rehearsing for the concert, including working with many musical collaborators, the construction of the concert’s set, planning the performance’s livestream, and his relationship with Hailey Bieber—there will even be self-shot videos, giving the audience a look into their day-to-day life through his eyes.
The night of the concert was anything but easy, with 240 guests lined up on the hotel suite balconies to watch amidst a thunderstorm that caused fans to watch via the livestream that they had to set up. However, Bieber still managed to kill his performance along with his backup dancers and band, with the help of special lights and pyrotechnic effects. He sang a wide variety of songs, from the 2012 fan favorite, “Boyfriend,” to the 2021 Justice lead single “Holy.” Justin Bieber: Our World will give everyone the private inside look into the singer’s life that we’ve been longing to see more of after the past year and a half, whether you’re a diehard fan or you love to hate him.
Produced by Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, Andy Miniger, and Michael D. Ratner, who also directed and produced Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, Justin Bieber: Our World will be released on Amazon Prime globally on Oct. 8.
