Cloud Modi My time with Steven Klein and his staff was simply astonishing. Most importantly, I respect him for what he did on our latest shoot. He took into consideration that what I was wearing didn’t represent who I was as a person and decided to go in a different direction. That simple act showed me the type of person he is, and I love him for it. Additionally, I like how he is surrounded by magnificent and hardworking people who make the experience even better. My love goes to every single one of them, and I’m looking forward to my next shoot with Steven Klein.

CM The modeling industry won’t ever be the same after this year in the aspect that, because of the pandemic, it forced the industry to adapt and explore different ways to conduct their business. There’s always room for improvement, and the industry is gradually changing.

CM My dream modeling job would be going back to Africa for a photo shoot—and if I’m even able to bring my mother along, it’ll be the icing on the cake.

VMAN How are you managing to stay sane amidst this year’s chaos?

CM The credit goes to my family. Hearing their voices puts me at ease, and now more than ever, we’ve been able to strengthen our bond amidst this pandemic, and that goes to show you that you can get through anything with the help of your family. I also make time to go outside and enjoy the weather. 

VMAN Do you have a New Years’ resolution already? 

CM I don’t believe in New Years’ resolution because why is it that everyone decides to make a change every year? Instead, we should all make the necessary adjustments each day so that we can all become better people. Let’s make the most of the time that we have now and shatter the mirror that’s in front of us.

VMAN What’s the most prized possession in your wardrobe?

CM I would have to say that my Jordan 1 Low Pine Green shoes are my prized possession. The reason behind it is because I’ve altered it in a way that brings meaning to it. I’ve written all the names of my family members along with key phrases that mirror what I’m feeling at the current moment and how I can counteract the feeling if necessary. Also, there are a few words on my shoes that I must apply to my life. 

VMAN Do you see modeling as a long-term career or as a platform that leads to other things? 

CM My response to this would have to be both. The opportunities that the industry provides are endless. I can see myself modeling for years to come and if it branches out to different platforms, by all means, I’ll accept it.  

VMAN  If you weren’t modeling what would you be doing?

CM I would’ve been pursuing my dream to play professional basketball. Ever since the age of ten, I’ve always imagined myself playing alongside some of the best and we’ll see whether or not I’m able to achieve it.
