The singer will take on the infamous SBLV stage on February 7th.

Having a legendary year thus far, The Weeknd is topping it off on a special stage — as the Super Bowl LV half time perform. NFL, Pepsi, and Roc Nation announced the news together early on November 12th. The artist then took to social media to share as well, the topic trending on Twitter soon after:

In a statement, the singer reflected, “We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position.” He continued, “I’m humbled, honored, and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage.”

During the month of November, the three-time Grammy Award winner released his album, After Hours which features 14 songs sure to be explored at the Super Bowl LV. He has collaborated with Ariana Grande on her single, “Off The Table” and, most recently with Maluma on the “Hawai Remix.” Having performed live at the 2020 virtual VMA’s and releasing out-of-the-box music videos, VMAN is interested to see the creativity The Weeknd will bring to this production.

The headline performer will take the stage on Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida via CBS. Jam below until then.
