Wu-Tang’s GZA Partners with Sackville & Co. For A Charitable Stash Kit
Wu-Tang Clan’s original member celebrates the 25th anniversary of his second solo album Liquid Swords.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of his second solo album Liquid Swords, Wu-Tang Clan’s original member GZA (a.k.a. The Genius) is partnering with a design-forward cannabis accessory and lifestyle brand Sackville & Co. Created and powered by women who like to smoke weed (and look good while doing it), the company brings Wu-Tang fans exclusive memorabilia so that they can celebrate the game-changing record by rolling up a blunt or two while listening to Wu-Tang’s track on repeat.
“The cultural impact that Wu-Tang has had is astronomical and felt across the globe,” says Lana Van Brunt, co-founder or Sackville & Co. “To this day, they’re regarded as one of the best rap groups of all time, and to collab with an artist as impactful as GZA in a space that now allows cannabis to exist without taboo is significant.”
Sackville & Co. has pledged to donate 100% of the profits to the Last Prisoner Project, a non-profit coalition that focuses on three key criminal justice reform initiatives: prisoner release, reentry programs and record clearing through clemency and expungements. Helmed by cannabis industry leaders, executives and artists, the organization works to redress the past and continuing harms of unjust laws and policies as the United States moves away from the criminalization of cannabis.
“We’re dedicated to making the cannabis industry a safe and equitable industry and to taking tangible steps to make this an ongoing pursuit of progress,” Van Brunt adds.
The GZA x Sackville & Co. collab features a branded stash kit with specialty blunt wraps in a pack of three, a throwing star grinder and a token lighter. Retailing for $45 apiece, the kits are available for purchase via the Sackville & Co.‘s website starting today, July 10.
